Professor Mark Scott AO joined Committee for Sydney CEO, Gabriel Metcalf on 7 September to reflect on the role and opportunities universities offer.
 
Mark became the University of Sydney’s 27th Vice-Chancellor in July 2021, having served as Secretary of the NSW Department of Education from 2016 – 2021. He came to that role after a decade as Managing Director of the ABC (2006 to 2016). Prior to commencing at the ABC, Scott was Editor-In-Chief of Fairfax Media’s metropolitan, regional and community newspapers.
