SYDNEY PARK

Open Garden transforms a small section of sydney park into a space to cool off and reconnect to nature. The architecture is embedded with the landscape to provide a structured space for a rich experience.

Open Garden encompasses the existing water treatment system and proposes an add-on system which provides an architectural space for people to interact with the aquatic and plant life that the park cultivates. The proposal is designed to evoke pleasure through its combination of architecture and wetland design. Decentralised aqueducts carry redirected water to filtering water plants, which flow into pools of water where humans and plants share space. A space for gathering as humans and facilitating a connection between humans and plantlife. There are shady and sunny places for people to enjoy their time in safety and comfort.
