CloudForm
Altaf Khan

“Cloudform” is a series of platforms at varying levels with no specific program. Within bushland, nestled amongst trees and perched above the ground, the platforms could be used as vantage points to observe and view nature. In a park suspended above other activities, it could function as a play area for kids. On a beach, it could perform as an open to air café or a deck to soak in the sun. The hybrid nature of the design allows it to be used for a variety of context and programmatic requirements.

The sculptural attributes of the proposal create abstract and immersive spatial experiences inviting curiosity and exploration. Supported by slims columns, delicately nudging the topography its presence on the ground plane is minimal and non-invasive, here architecture is curated and imagined as secondary to the environment and landscape.
