Will Covid-19 profoundly alter the way cities live, work and create? Will they grow back better, or is this the end of the great metropolis? Join us as one of America’s leading social and urban policy leaders, Vice President and Director of the Brookings Metropolitan Policy Program, Amy Liu, shares her insights and diagnosis of the fate of America’s cities in the post-Covid world.

North American cities were hit much harder by Covid-19 than Sydney, but we’re not exempt from global trends – if the experience in Chicago, Detroit, Louisville, San Diego and Birmingham over past year leads to changes in working patterns, those changes could find their way to Sydney indirectly.

Coming live from Washington DC, Liu shared insights from her work with public, private, and philanthropic sector leaders across some of the USA’s biggest cities. (Recorded 2 June 2021)
