John is Managing Director of The Australian, The Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph, Prestige and other Sydney community titles including Wentworth Courier and Mosman Daily.
He was Editor of The Australian for four years, leading the masthead to two Newspaper of Year Awards and record audience growth.
John has a long-held passion for Sydney and urban development, playing a key role in launching major campaigns for The Daily Telegraph including the Bradfield Oration and Fair Go for the West.
He is also a member of the Electric Vehicle Council board and an advocate at News Corp Australia for sustainable business practices.
Before taking on senior editorial and executive roles, John worked as an editor and reporter in Australia and the United States, covering business, media, politics and crime. At the New York Post, he reported extensively on the September 11 terror attacks and the hunt for Osama bin Laden. He has covered Olympic Games in the United States, Russia and Sydney.
He writes a weekly column for The Australian Wine Club, where he moonlights as Cellar Director.
