Covid-19 is having very real mental health impacts across the community. Whether you’re working from home in a fug of Zoom meetings, or gritting your teeth and commuting to essential work – reports of unprecedented call volumes to mental health lines show the strain’s being felt deeply across the community, with few not feeling the pressure. The world has changed – and keeps changing, every day – with profound implications for all of us, in our professional and personal lives.
This important and timely conversation with Sam Mostyn AO, non-executive director and former inaugural National Mental Health Commissioner; Georgie Harman, CEO Beyond Blue; Maha Abdo OAM, CEO of the Muslim Women Association; and Professor Ian Hickie, co-Director of the University of Sydney’s Brain and Mind Centre, was recorded 25 August 2021.
