Leonie King is Chief Executive Officer of City West Housing, a Tier 1 community housing provider (CHP) and developer, owner and operator of affordable rental housing. As CEO, Leonie leads a committed team that develops affordable housing and provide housing services to some 1,600 residents in metropolitan Sydney.

Leonie is a director on the board of the national industry peak, the Community Housing Industry Association (CHIA). Leonie was also Vice Chair of CHIA NSW between 2016- 2022.

Leonie is a passionate advocate for social and affordable housing, having spent the past 25 years working in both government and non-government organisations responsible for policy and strategy development, program design, industry development and housing delivery and management.

Prior to taking up her current role Leonie was Chief Strategy Officer and Deputy CEO for another Tier 1 CHP. During her time working in the NSW public sector, Leonie worked on state and national reforms, including the establishment of a national regulatory system for community housing, the growth and expansion of the NSW community housing sector and affordable housing planning policies and funding. Leonie also worked on the devolution of specialist disability services to the non-government sector and the sale of the Home Care service of NSW.

Leonie holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), is a CPA and has an Executive Masters of Public Administration. She is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
