Cheyenne is the Communications Advisor for the Committee for Sydney.
She previously worked in social media and digital communications for UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce/Media with Distinction. During her studies, she received Dean’s Awards for Business, Arts and Social Sciences, as well as the Lusthaus Prize for Creating Social Change.
She also has over five years’ experience working across fashion, advertising and human rights. Her work has been published in Refinery29, RUSSH Magazine and Astrophe Magazine, and she presented a talk on race relations for the 2022 Festival of Dangerous Ideas. Through her investigative journalism projects, she’s covered topics such as dental inequality among young Australians and the experiences of women of colour in Sydney’s creative industry.
As a Filipino-Australian woman who grew up in both Manila and regional NSW, Cheyenne is passionate about creating inclusive communications that push for social change and celebrate the diversity of the world around her.
