This podcast features Committee for Sydney Chairman Michael Rose in conversation with Carl Weisbrod, former Chairman of the New York City Planning Commission and Director of the New York City Department of City Planning. Carl Weisbrod is a global authority on city planning, affordable housing policy, urban development, and public-private real estate development. He was also the founding President of the New York City Economic Development Corporation. Throughout his career, he has guided transformative urban initiatives, including the revitalisation of two of New York City’s most iconic neighbourhoods – Times Square, from the late 1970’s through the early 1990’s, and Lower Manhattan, both pre- and post-9/11.
