The Committee event brought together a panel of experts to discuss geopolitics, economics and foreign affairs through the prism of cricket.

According to a recent Federal Government report, over the next two decades no single market will offer more growth opportunities for Australia than India. By 2035, India will overtake China as the world’s most populous country and is also poised to become the third-largest economy, after China and the United States. There is huge potential for businesses in Sydney to expand trade with India, particularly in education, tourism, health, financial services, and infrastructure.

Attendees heard a panel discussion moderated by Michelle Gunn, Editor of The Weekend Australian, and which included:

–  Mark Waugh, Former Australian Cricketer and now commentator at Fox Sports
–  Gideon Haigh, Cricket Writer at The Australian
–  James Crabtree, Former Mumbai Correspondent at the Financial Times
–  Michelle Goszko, Former Australian Cricketer

The Committee would like to thank News Corp for generously hosting this event.
