Mobility as a Service – Innovations in Sydney’s Transport Network

June 28, 2018

27 June, 2018
Kindly Hosted by Uber

Pressure on our city, from growing population and the agglomeration of knowledge jobs, means that we have no choice but to consider innovative ways to transform the way people get around our city. Luckily, truly integrated transport, built around the needs of individual citizens, is nearing reality in Sydney. Mobility-as-a-Service sits at the centre of a number of innovations from the public and private sectors that have the opportunity to transform the way we use our transport network.

In that vein, the Committee was delighted to hear from a number of companies delivering innovation in mobility. Our speakers have kicked off a conversation about what’s next in this space for Sydney, and what barriers exist to developing the network of MaaS options that will allow our city to function more efficiently for its citizens. Our speakers included:

  • Susan Anderson | General Manager, Australia and New Zealand, Uber
  • Chris Bennetts | Executive Director, Digital Products, Transport for NSW
  • Jaison Hoernel | CEO, Good Cycles
  • Sue Wiblin | Manager, New Mobilities, Keolis
  • Larry McGrath | Board Member, The Committee for Sydney (moderator)

The Committee would like to thank Uber for generously hosting this event.
