Everyone’s Business: What role should business play in shaping our cities?

Kindly Hosted by Mirvac

Over the past five years, Sydney’s economy has grown by almost $70 billion and an estimated 300,000 new jobs have been created. In addition, NSW contributes about a third of Australia’s gross domestic product and the state economy is double the size of New Zealand’s and larger than Singapore and United Arab Emirates.

What role, though, does business play in shaping Sydney? And what role should they play? Committee members were invited to join us for a discussion with industry leaders to consider these questions and discuss the future impact of industry, commerce and business on Sydney and its economy.

Speakers included Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Mirvac and Kim Curtain, Deputy Secretary, Trade, Tourism, Investment and Precincts, NSW Treasury.

Following the event, guests were also given an opportunity for attendees to view the Vivid Festival lights from a perfect vantage point at the Mirvac offices!

The Committee would like to thank Mirvac for generously hosting this event.
