Kindly Hosted by Arup

The Committee for Sydney recently held an evening policy event with Leslie Woo, the Chief Planning and Development Officer at Metrolinx, the regional transportation authority for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

Toronto and Sydney share many characteristics – challenges of housing affordability, a rapidly agglomerating economy and managing the benefits of growth. Many of these challenges require an innovative transport response.

Leslie leads the planning and development portfolio that will see a $35B expansion in public transit. She will join us as we discuss Sydney’s transport challenges and the potential solutions we can deliver to shape a better city

Members also benefited from a high-profile panel discussion which included:

  • Brendon Baker – Director of Sydney Metro West, Transport for NSW
  • Terry Lee-Williams – Strategic Transport Advisor, Arup
  • Jess Miller – Deputy Lord Mayor of Sydney

The Committee for Sydney would like to thank Arup for hosting the event.
