One of the potential opportunities that comes out of COVID-19 is the potential for a return to a “reform agenda”. The crisis presents a positive shift in public trust in institutions, significant changes to the economy and society, as well as the impact of the crisis on Australians. All these considerations suggest the opportunity is there for governments to undertake a wave of dramatic reforms. But will they be able to? Here we are joined by two former Secretaries of the Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet – Peter Shergold, Chancellor, Western Sydney University and Martin Parkinson, Chancellor, Macquarie University.
